Treatment Settings
Inpatient Treatment Facilities
Provides 24-hour care to clients in acute crisis situations. Clients who are suicidal or homicidal may require inpatient treatment to ensure their safety and the safety of others Intensive Outpatient Treatment Appropriate for clients who are functioning at a high level but need more intensive treatment than outpatient therapy is able to privde. Typically meets for 2-3 hours a day for 4-6 weeks. |
Residential Treatment Settings Provide intensive therapy and a structured living environment for clients struggling with mental health and substance abuse and dependency issues. Clients may live at a residential treatment facility (halfway house.) |
Partial Hospitalization
Provides intensive therapy for clients for 6-8 hours a day and allows clients to return home in the evenings. These usually occur for 4-6 weeks in length Outpatient Treatment Weekly or biweekly sessions of 1 hour in length with a professional counselor. Clients may also attend weekly outpatient groups. |
